- 1963.07.08 Born as the third generation of the Yasui family.
- At age 8 began studying Western painting under master Keiichi Suyama, developing an unusually keen sense of color.
- Due to fragile health, he moved frequently during childhood, becoming introspective and acutely aware of loss and the passing of time.
- During his studies he deliberately chose the little‑trodden field of glass art, distancing himself from crowds to focus on technique and form. Supported by a strong drawing background, he prepares each glass work through detailed sketches and process diagrams, treating design, structure, technique, and color as an integrated invention.
- Since the 2000s he has established a mature body of work in Japan and Taiwan, recognized for his unique combination of blown glass, painterly sensibility, and highly individual color language.
- He is now the sole heir and custodian of the Yasui family estate, working with you to preserve and reinterpret the three‑generation narrative of Koyata, Hyouta, and Kaede through exhibitions and publications.
